Bicycle Fitting: $275 FREE Lifetime Adjustments

Bio-mechanically efficient positions on a bike are not natural, they are 'learned' positions. Every fitting adjustment is based on a bio-mechanical principle, even down to the position of your wrists on the handlebar, arms, neck and back, just to name a few. A fitting without the foundation of biomechanics reduces your performance and increases your effort. In other words, it is a huge power loss.

As cyclists become stronger and/or more flexible, it is beneficial to change riding positions. Free lifetime adjustments for all original equipment.

Every Bicycle Fitting also includes a Cleat Fitting for one pair of shoes; each additional pair of shoes is $29. Any items needed to complete the Fitting (e.g. cleats, stems, shims, etc.) are an additional cost.

Back to Selection

Cleat Fitting: $50

Placing new cleats or either adjusting your current cleats is just as detailed as a Bike Fitting. There is a science to doing this correctly. There are three major factors that dictate how a cleat is positioned on the shoe. Get any of these factors wrong, and it is a power loss. Really? Yes, really. One Kona IM qualifier gained an additional 25 watts just by positioning his cleats correctly. This session requires you to bring your bicycle and shorts, as well.

Any items needed to complete the Cleat Fitting (e.g. cleats, shims, etc) are an additional cost.

Evaluation Ride: $75

When you are sick, you make an appointment with your Dr. to help diagnose your problem and formulate a plan to make you better. The Evaluation Ride is exactly the same. This on-bike session allows your overall cycling to be specifically evaluated in order to create a unique plan of attack to get you where you want to be. A short discussion time follows the ride with recommendations made. All real life situations will be replicated for this evaluation.

Pedaling Technique: $135 per session

This is the best way to improve your overall performance by learning how to achieve the maximum results with the least amount of effort. The evaluation involves using a floor trainer and the cyclist’s own bicycle and is designed to determine/learn:

  1. fundamentals of correct pedaling technique (3 aspects)
  2. correct breathing technique (it DOES make a difference)
  3. proper shifting techniques
  4. different riding positions (i.e. power, recovery, etc.)

Using the floor trainer creates a controlled environment whereby you can learn correct pedaling technique much faster. The same is true for proper shifting and changing riding positions. The Evaluation includes checking that you and your bike are properly fit. If a bike fitting is necessary, the Bike Fitting will be discounted to $200 and include free adjustments for as long as you own that bike (if Fitting is performed at same time as the Pedaling Technique).

Fitting/Pedaling Combo: $335 (Save $50)

This simply combines both the Bike Fitting and Pedaling Technique. Instead of $360 for both services separately, you receive a $50 discount when you schedule them together in the same session.

Bicycle Purchase/Fitting Consultation: $300 (Save $25)

This new consultation was created because of having to tell too many clients that their bicycle didn't fit them; several who had just recently purchased them. Consultation includes (1) trip to the bicycle store of your choice and (1) one hour total consultation time (email, phone and in person) necessary to insure an accurate purchase.

This service combines all the features of a full Bike Fitting...PLUS the consultation time at the bike shop to ensure the right purchase!!! This has become a very popular addition. Time in store is part of the total (1) one hour consultation time.

Shifting: $75

Don't upgrade your bike...upgrade your engine...YOU!!! Learn better riding technique, reduce your effort while dramatically increasing your confidence.

We routinely see clients increase their overall average speed on any given ride by at least 1-2mph, just by learning how to shift more efficiently and use the terrain to your advantage. Improper shifting techniques cost you precious momentum and effort. Investing an hour in this area dramatically improves your overall performance.

Group Ride Dynamics Seminar/Ride: $45

Ever wanted to join a group ride but have not…for whatever reason? Are you currently participating in group rides but are not really clear about your responsibilities? Do you know what to look out for to avoid crashes? How do you decide which cyclist is safe enough to ride behind?.

This interactive one-hour seminar will be followed by a short group ride, giving you the opportunity to practice and implement these skills in a real-world environment. You will have the confidence to ride in any group ride, no matter what the skill/riding level is for those who join in.

Topics include:
  • how to maintain a steady pace without sudden changes in your momentum
  • emergency maneuvers with balance/control
  • braking through turns while maintaining your line
  • transitioning out of the saddle without losing momentum
  • learning where the safest places are (and are not) to ride in a group

This Seminar/Ride is currently part of Bike Roswell’s new Education Program, aimed at the goal of them achieving Silver status for Bicycle Friendly Community.

This level of coaching offers you the ability to pinpoint different aspects of your cycling training to achieve very specific goals. For example, if you are not a good climber, a climbing specific program can be developed to give you the ability and confidence to climb any hill and not get dropped. Your level of riding, physical ability and devotion of time are just a few aspects that aid in designing a Training Specific Program. Each program comes with 1 hour of consultation time. This service is available for local and remote clients.

Climbing: $75

Don't upgrade your bike...upgrade your engine...YOU!!! Learn better riding technique, reduce your effort while dramatically increasing your confidence.

Bottom line, every cyclist wants to climb better. Doing hill repeats can certainly make you stronger but if your technique is biomechanically incorrect, it costs you very precious effort and speed. Our clients average a 15%-35% increase in their climbing ability (based on previous climb times). We teach you how to climb in the saddle and the three positions out of the saddle. Learn why you never want to climb a hill sitting up in the saddle. Finally, one key component to being the most efficient climber, is to know how to shift properly. Depending upon your current shifting technique, you may need to complete a Shifting session prior to attacking a Climbing session.
