Bike Roswell + MyCycleCoach.com = Safer Group Rides

At a recent Bike Roswell Board meeting, Robert Wilhite of MyCycleCoach.com fielded questions regarding the addition of his Riding Skills classes and other educational/safety initiatives to BR’s new Education Program. Currently, the City of Roswell holds the Bronze status as Georgia’s only Bicycle Friendly Community. Their goal in establishing a more robust program is to achieve the ‘Silver‘ status for 2010.

Currently, an educational series is being developed in hopes of making it a permanent on their Education Program roster. Specifically, Robert Wilhite will be facilitating a one-hour interactive seminar on Group Ride Dynamics and what every cyclist should know before riding in a group. Immediately following, will be a short group ride so everyone can practice what they learned. You will gain tremendous confidence and knowledge so the next time someone invites you to ride with them or in an organized group ride, you will know exactly what to do, how to chose who you will ride behind and avoid unnecessary crashes.
